The Department of Special Education at the Spring-Ford Area School District is dedicated to providing comprehensive services and updated information to students, parents and the community.

Spring-Ford Area School District also offers Learning Support programs (for students with delays in reading and/or math which are significant enough to impact their regular grade level performance), Autistic Support and Emotional Support programs. Speech and Language Support is available in all district schools. Spring-Ford has access to the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, Approved Private Schools, and other local school districts for additional programs, if needed.á Read More

The Special Channel:
Spring-Ford is offering a parent group, called The Special Channel, for parents of students who receive special education services. The group was developed several years ago to help parents understand special education laws and how they apply to the education of their children. The Special Channel has scheduled meetings during the school year.

MCIU Resource Fair
The MCIU is hosting a Transition and Resource Fair at Perkiomen Valley High School on March 31, 2016 from 6:30 - 8:30. Visit to network with a variety of agencies and community services, as well as post-secondary institutions servicing students with disabilities.
Special Channel Parent Meetings for 2015- 2016
Special Channel is a parent group for students in grades K-12 whose children have disabilities. The Parent group is devoted to bringing the latest research, resources and networking to all parents in the Spring-Ford Area School District.
